My latest piece..O' Holy Night. I wanted to make another holiday piece. Three pembrokes in awe of the bright christmas star, with their forest friends. I will be offerering this piece on ebay. This painting is a 10"x10" canvas with 1 1/2" stretchers. Sides are painted. This looks SO much better in person, it's so hard to capture these images with a scanner. I have to adjust the brightness and contrast, and sometimes the color doesn't look right. I was happy with the way this one came out. Happy holidays!!

I finished creating some corgi christmas ornaments. I handpainted corgis on solid wood ornaments with metal hangers and a bell attached. They also have holiday plaid bows. I painted fourteen ornaments. (7 pairs) I made two cardigan pairs and five pembroke pairs. They are on different wooden shapes. (stars, stockings, hearts and mittens) All are handpainted and all different. They are also sealed with sealant, and ready for the tree. There are four sets on ebay right now and I will be putting three more on next week.

I just finished this piece. It's acrylic on 12"x12" canvas with 1 1/2 inch stretchers. This one I really enjoyed. It has a lot of detail, that sometimes It's hard to pick up with a photo. It took me a few days to finish this. Its ready to hang with hanger already attached. I have listed this on ebay and this design is now available on some products in my CafePress store, for the holidays.

I am now making monthly donations to CorgiAid. CorgiAid is a nonprofit organization founded to provide financial assistance to corgis and corgi mixes. They help out those who rescue dogs from shelters or other non-permanent homes, then foster them until a new home is found. I am donating a percentage from every original painting that is auctioned off on Ebay. If you would like to donate directly to CorgiAid to help corgis find new homes or provide financial assistance to a corgi who needs medical attention, please visit CorgiAid on the list of links under organizations to the right.Thank you for supporting a wonderful organization.

Ah. Autumn!!I LOVE the fall..cool mornings, beautiful colors, halloween and thanksgiving! Not to mention caramel apples and pumpkin pie. It is my favorite season. I love halloween too. It's so fun to dress up. Last year I dressed up as snow white and my husband was grumpy the dwarf. 8) I had a lot of fun! I am counting down the days until the first day of fall (It's this week!) and thought I'd paint two corgis enjoying the fall in a pumpkin patch. 9" X 12" acrylic on canvas. Bring on the candy corn!

Legend has it that the Pembroke Welsh Corgi is an "enchanted" dog, and certainly this must be true! 'Tis said he was used by the fairies and elves of Wales to pull fairy coaches, work fairy cattle, and serve as a steed for the fairy warriors. Even today those people with keen eyes and understanding hearts may see the marks of the "fairy saddle" in the coat over the shoulders.
I just finished this "Fairy Friends" painting. This one took me quite a while, but was fun. I handpainted the 12" x 12" canvas with acrylic paints. I then decoupaged paper fairies onto the canvas. I then sealed the whole painting with sealant to bring out the colors and protect It. This canvas is really thick and heavy. It has 1 1/2 inch stretchers and a medium texture. These are my favorite canvases to work with. they feel really well built and substantial. I like to sometimes do a "mixed media" piece. Incorporating paint and other items such as paper, glitter, or "jewels" is a fun way to "spice up" a piece, or just make It unique.

Well since I haven't painted anything lately,I will post another pic I took of the cute little tri color.I have some great ideas for new corgi designs for the holidays. (I know, I am trying to think ahead) I will be painting as much as I can soon. I have been working on some web pages the last few weeks. They are kind of stressing since I am learning as I go and It takes a lot of time sitting in front of the computer. It's better than being outside right now as tempertures here are above 100. I would rather be painting though. I will be updating according to the new work. Thank you for visiting!

I got a new digital camera recently. I thought to myself.."Wow! This will be great!!" There is a annual dog show that is held here and I can take tons of pics of corgis!! The Apple Valley Kennel Club puts on a great show.
I charge my camera, go out early on Saturday morning in the cold and rain, excited about snapping priceless pics of pups! I see some adorable corgis! I started to take pictures and..my camera goes dead. Hello? It's really not working and Its now broken and frozen!! I couldn't believe It since It was new! So much for getting my corgi pics. 8( I do have two cute pics of a tri color right before the camera went dead. He was a young corgi and so sweet! I want to do a design with him for my store.
I guess I will have to find some more corgis to photograph. CORGI MODELS NEEDED!! HEHE!!

Oh the poor hedgies of the world! Slobbered on, depawed and destuffed, but oh so loved! My dog raider has two hedgies. One has been reduced to only a "pelt', while so far the other is still intact. He still loves his "pelt" and carries It in his mouth and looks lovingly at the scrap of mangled fur. I have painted this corgi picture with the common misadventures of hedgies the world over. "The destuffing of hedgie." These poor little rodents are commonly seen dangling out of a canine's mouth, and "loved" until they are shadows of their former selves. Luckily the stuffed hedgehog is not endangered and can be found lurking in the pet section of your local Walgreen's drug store. All hedgies should be happy to know that they bring great joy to the four legged creatures, and are not destuffed in vain. They will never be forgotten.

I am on a roll, I finished another painting today. I call It "Future agility champions." Dog agility is a popular event showing handler control, agility, and confidence. The sport of agility is comprised of a course set up of many different obstacles. Agility is meant to be a fun, non-regimented sport, with a lot of spectator appeal. Obstacles include jumps, tunnels, a dog walk, a see-saw or teeter, an A-frame and weave polesdrive. It is very entertaining and thrilling to watch. This is my first agility painting.

My second corgi painting this year, is of a tri color. I really like the coloring of the tri's. I painted this one with petunias. This was painted from a reference photograph that the owner kindly sent for me to use. I would love to recieve snapshots of corgis to use for reference! I painted this one because It reminds me that spring is right around the corner!

I have added some cute corgi cards with greetings on them to my pembroke welsh corgi art store. If you need cards to announce your new corgi addition or puppy, they are perfect! There is also other cards including Happy Barkday!, for your corgi friends.
I will be adding more in the near future. These are fun to create!
I just finished a logo for You Lucky Dog biscuits!
It is of Lucy (owner's cute girl) the corgi lounging in her pool floaty, decked out in her princess garb, chowing down on her favorite biscuits! It was a fun and exciting project. It will be fun to see my work advertising for a product!
When You Lucky Dog gets their website up and running, I will provide a link to them. Please check them out! Your dog will love them!
